Hello

a bit about me

Hi there - my name is Emily Rosato and I'm a Broadcast Engineer based in London, England!

I'm a highly motivated media professional with experience working for news organizations in the United States and the United Kingdom. My excellent technical and personal skills allow me to bring my well rounded knowledge to a fast paced team environment.

Right at the beginning of 2024 I started a new role as a Broadcast Engineer for News UK in London. In this role I'm responsible for the support, maintenance, fault management, and readiness of News UK broadcast systems, transmission operations, and networks - both in London studios and on location at outside broadcasts. This is done by maintaining and solving problems with broadcast hardware and software, testing and fixing equipment, working with outside companies and internal departments to resolve faults, and implementing new systems to support changing broadcast requirements.

Before this, my most recent position was as a Media Manager/Engineer with The Wall Street Journal in London. In this role I was in charge of curating, organizing and archiving media assets for multiple bureaus, while also managing video equipment and assisting in the technical production of live video streams and film shoots. I worked with video journalists in London, New York City, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and assisted with many project's that spanned across multiple bureaus.

Prior to making the big move across the pond I worked as a Technical Production Coordinator (TPC) for NBCUniversal in New York City/remotely. This is where I gained experience working on a variety of MSNBC shows as well as the Today Show. In this position I was also responsible for booking facilities for remote guests, submitting crew requests for shoots in NYC and DC, and verifying that remote studios have the proper billing information.
