News UK

​January 2024 - Present

Responsible for the support, maintenance, fault management, and readiness of News UK broadcast systems, transmission operations, and networks - both in London studios and on location at outside broadcasts. This is done by maintaining and solving problems with broadcast hardware and software, testing and fixing equipment, working with outside companies and internal departments to resolve faults, and implement new systems to support changing broadcast requirements.

Media Manager / Engineer

Curated, organized, and archived media assets for multiple bureaus. Managed equipment for all international offices including London, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Assisted with on-site technical management of live video streams. Partnered with video and audio journalists to provide operational support to all projects.

 

Technical Production Coordinator

Supported the Technical Production Managers and the rest of the control room team when needed. Inputted MSNBC guest information into iNews and verified that all guests were confirmed for shows with producers. Booked facilities for remote guests, submitted crew requests for shoots in NYC and DC, and verified that remote studios had the proper billing information. Constantly updated remote studio files so all information was up to date.

Assistant Technical Production Coordinator (T2)

Supported the Technical Production Managers and the rest of the control room team by helping check in guests on various video calling services and ensured guests’ feed quality before they appeared on-air. Utilized Virtual Matrix Intercom Systems (VCOM), Virtual Network Computing (VNC) Viewer, and a variety of other tools to access computers remotely and effectively communicate with control room personnel. Experience working on a variety of MSNBC shows in addition to the Today Show.

I helped lead and manage Ithaca College’s award winning Television Station and it’s original shows for the 2018-2019 and the 2019-2020 school year as well as the Fall 2020 semester. My main tasks in this position included managing all of the station’s promotional content, ordering merchandise, planning events, coordinating all digital and nondigital publicity content such as bulletin boards and posters, and assisting with social media. I also held crew positions on eight different shows through my time at the station including Technical Assistant, Head Audio, and Editor to name a few.

Audio Visual Production Technician

This was my on-campus job where I was tasked with ensuring that all audio-visual requirements for events have been met as requested. In addition I also set-up, operated, and struck a variety of professional level sound, lighting, and projection equipment. I was also responsible for equipment maintenance, keeping storage areas clean, and inventory. I ultimately left the position because this was my on campus job and I finished my education remotely after March 2020.

Internships
NBCUniversal

Summer 2020

Accepted a paid internship position with NBCUniversal in the Operations and Technology department for summer 2020. Internship was originally supposed to take place at Rockefeller Center in New York City but was ultimately canceled due to COVID-19.

WBRE-TV

Wilkes-Barre, PA

​May 2018 - August 2018

WBRE is the local NBC and CBS affiliates in my hometown. This was a summer internship and I mainly work with the afternoon news for WBRE. Some of my duties at this internship include assisting the crew in the studio, assisting the crew and reporters in the field, and assisting at the news desk.

WVIA Public Media

Pittston, PA

May 2018 - August 2018


WVIA is the local PBS affiliate station in my hometown. At this internship I have the opportunity to work in a variety of different departments including Radio Production, Local TV Production, Live Control Room Production, On-Air Promotions, Graphic Design, Documentary Film Production, and Special Events. Most of what I have been doing at this internship include editing promotional spots for on-air and social media and taking pictures of member-only events for online and social media.

Gotoco English Teaching Volunteer
Donnguan, China

June 2019 - July 2019

During the summer of 2019 I traveled to Donnguan, China to teach English at the Donnguan Foreign Language Schools alongside 32 other volunteer English teachers from around the world.
